My kids are great - and so are yours

I have been faithfully watching the show "Jon and Kate Plus 8" since it came on - for those of you with less than 8 children, it is an inspiration to see how just 2 parents can get all those things done in one day with 8 kids. I only have one 3-year old and she is such a handful sometimes. They do something really neat with their kids that I would like to start for our family. They have one day (each month, etc) that they spend just with that kid - the child gets to pick the place, what they do, eat, etc - it is all about them! Tim and I are going to start that this summer with our 2 little ones - we want to take time out of our lives and make sure they know we love them (even though we tell them often every day) and make sure they get a chance to to tell us what is going on in their lives. As you full-time working moms and dads out there know, you don't always get a chance to just sit down and talk to them with the TV, brother or sister interrupting, ovens going off, etc. SO - my next couple of posts are going to be dedicated to each of my children to show off how wonderful they are.
